record in Site Safety over the last 24 years
The management and staff of Standard Control Systems (SCS)
are committed to ensuring the continued Safety, Health and
Welfare of all employees.
Management will provide, maintain and enforce safe and healthy
working conditions, equipment and systems of work and practices
for all employees. Appropriate levels of safety equipment
(PPE) and safety training will be provided in accordance with
current Health & Safety Legislation.
All employees will be informed, instructed and supervised
to ensure safe working practices are met and maintained.
All SCS Staff have an obligation to advise management of any
circumstances or incidents which may affect the welfare of
themselves or others during the course of a project.
The management in charge of a project will have a thorough
knowledge of statutory regulations and ensure that they are
observed by all personnel representing SCS.
The designated Safety Officer for each project will be responsible
for implementing the safety policy on site and reporting to
senior office personnel on a regular basis with updated safety
performance information on site.
The Safety Officer / Contracts Manager
will ensure that :
• All personnel on site are in possession of a current
Safepass permit.
• All personnel are familiar with the company’s
safety statement
• All personnel are familiar with and have signed the
site safety handbook.
• All personnel are familiar with any site specific
hazards which exist.
• Plant / Equipment / Tools are maintained in good condition
and are fit for the purpose for which they are used.
• Safety records are maintained in an orderly fashion
and filed on site.
• PPE is distributed, recorded and signed for by all
SCS personnel on site
• PPE is used correctly and maintained by the user
• Safe work practice and safe installation are monitored
continually.
