Building Energy Management Systems Building Energy
Management System (BEMS) is a computer based control
system installed in buildings that controls and monitors the
building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such
as air handling and cooling plant systems, lighting, power
systems, fire systems, and security systems. A BEMS consists
of software and hardware. The software program, usually configured
in a hierarchical manner, can be proprietary using such protocols
as C-bus, Profibus, etc. BMSs can integrate using Internet
protocols and open standards like SOAP, XML, BacNet, Lon and
Modbus. System Support and Back-Up Our service engineers are always only a telephone call away, whether the issue relates to maintenance, system tuning or fault diagnoses. In most cases we will have installed an in-house telephone modem service which allows immediate access and analysis of any plant operating difficulties experienced by the operator. This service further reduces
cost by practically eliminating the need for unscheduled call
outs, thus further reducing downtime. Indeed modem access
is now a standard offering to companies who have regional
or world-wide installations. By simply duplicating the plant
in graphical form at a remote location it is possible to analyse
and instantly correct faults via this telephone connection.
